An exceptional, authentic vintage sweater made for Walbusch by the renowned Scottish manufacturer Shetland Woollen Co., and produced in Iceland by the legendary knitwear factory Sigwisson — one of Europe's most important luxury knitwear producers during the 1980s and 1990s.

The sweater is made from Pure New Wool – Shetland & Herdwick, two of the finest British wool types:
• Shetland wool – light, soft and exceptionally warm
• Herdwick wool – rare, extremely durable and hard-wearing

This piece dates to the 1990s, from the so-called “golden era” of European knitwear, when leading brands commissioned specialized manufacturers in Iceland and Scotland. The quality of both the yarn and craftsmanship is far superior to modern mass-produced knitwear.
